The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), founded in 1836, is the oldest and most prestigious educational institution of Greece in the field of technology. NTUA employs around 400 people as academic staff, 400 scientific assistants and 550 administrative and technical staff.

NTUA participates through the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering (SMME), and more specifically, with the Laboratory of Mining and Environmental Technology (LMET) from the Department of Mining Engineering. LMET offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to, among others, environmental management, industrial and urban management, and financial and cost benefit analysis, etc.

LMET has been involved in more than 75 research projects funded by both the private and public sector, along with research programs funded by the EC. An important part of this research effort is in the field of waste management, especially with regards to industrial and hazardous waste.

City of Zadar is a local self-government unit, determined by the Local self-government and Administration Act and Territories of Counties, Cities and Municipalities in the Republic of Croatia Act. It has 200 employees and 13 administrative departments and offices. The administrative area of the City of Zadar includes the city of Zadar, that counts around 75 000 people, four nearby settlements and seven islands.

Fields of competence, which are under the jurisdiction of this local public authority, are as follows: arrangement of city districts and housing, spatial and urban planning, municipal economy, child care, social welfare, primary health care, education and primary education, culture, physical culture and sport, consumer protection, protection and improvement of natural environment, fire and civil protection, traffic in its area, maintenance of public roads, construction, energy efficiency, issuance of physical planning and construction documents and other works in accordance with special laws.

The City of Zadar is active participant in the field of transnational and cross-border cooperation with a long tradition of cooperation with numerous foreign local governments and international organizations. The mission is a responsible and efficient management of public affairs as well as transparent work of the city government in accordance with interests and needs of its citizens. Furthermore, Zadar is the largest city and centre of Zadar County, and thus has the biggest influence not only on its citizens but also on the citizens of the surrounding area.

Horeca Partners is a commercial organisation specialized in supporting organisations in terms of qualification raising of personnel in the tourism and leisure industry. City of Novi Sad

City Administration for Environmental Protection carries out its activities and responsibilities in accordance with decisions and other general acts of the City Assembly, the City Council and the Mayor by applying laws and other regulations. One of the main priorities of the City Administration for Environmental Protection is to restore greenery in our city and improve the quality of life in Novi Sad.  The City Administration of Environmental Protection carries out activities related to continuous control and systematic monitoring of the environment, through authorized professional organizations ( air quality,  airborne allergenic pollen, water quality (surface water), environmental noise).

City Administration coordinate, encourage, assist and participate in realization of programs, projects and actions implemented by the scientific institutions, public utilities and other public enterprises in order to get results applicable in short term period and to increase sustainability of the City.

Education and raising environmental protection awareness are very important part of the City administrations activities.

Our team works on environmental issues by educating all generations of citizens. The goal is to encourage people to be responsible and to take action today in order to improve the state of the City tomorrow.

The obligation of primary separation is determined by the Law on Waste Management and envisaged by the Regional Waste Management Plan for the City of Novi Sad and the municipalities of Bačka Palanka, Bački Petrovac, Beočin, Žabalj, Srbobran, Temerin and Vrbas for the period 2019-2028, and will be elaborated by the Local Management Plan waste for the City of Novi Sad, for the period 2021-2030. years.

City Administration for Environmental protection has recognized the importance of sustainable development and it will continue with activities which emphasize the importance of sustainable development and importance of its implementation in all aspects of life in the City.
